Still Waters Project – Frequently Asked Questions
❓: What exactly is The Still Waters Project?
✅: We’re a veteran- and family-led charity group that creates free outdoor experiences for veterans, children, and families across Arkansas. Think fishing trips, nature retreats, and cookouts—with heart.
❓: Do I have to be a veteran or child to attend?
✅: Nope! Some events are just for specific groups, but many are open to the community. If you need peace, you’re welcome.
❓: Is it really free?
✅: Yep. No fine print, no surprise invoices. We rely on donations, sponsors, and volunteers to make it happen—so you don’t have to pay a thing.
❓: Can I bring my kids?
✅: Please do. Kids are part of why we do this. We always have safe, fun, family-friendly activities available.
❓: What do I need to bring?
✅: We provide fishing poles, bait, food, drinks, and supplies. You bring sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothes, and your best fishing face. (And maybe a chair.) If you want to bring your own supplies, you can as well.
❓: How can I get involved?
✅: Volunteer, donate supplies, sponsor an event, or just show up and help. We’ve got a whole page for that right here.
✅: Do you take donations?
A: Glad you asked. Yes—we accept monetary donations, fishing gear, snacks, drinks, supplies of all sorts, and even grills. All of it goes straight to the mission.
❓: Is this a religious organization?
✅: No. We welcome all backgrounds and beliefs. The only thing we preach is fresh air and kindness.
❓: Can I host an event with you?
✅: Absolutely. We love working with schools, churches, veteran groups, and local businesses. Email us and let’s plan something good.
❓: What if I’ve never touched a fishing pole?
✅: Then you’re in the right place. We’ll teach you. You’ll be a pro by lunch—or at least good enough to pretend.
